The Garden City Public Library has introduced a new system for museum-pass reservations called LibCal, which requires you to have a Library card and a PIN. To use this system, please visit the Circulation Desk to verify or create your PIN. Once you have a PIN, you can make your reservations from home or at the Library. This change is necessary due to the sunsetting of the previous program, Tixkeeper, by the vendor, Plymouth Rocket. Museum-pass offerings will remain the same, through funding by the Friends of the Garden City Public Library.
Some museum passes are now available to print from home. If you do not have access to a printer, the Library will be happy to print the pass for you. These passes will be good for one day only. Please note that not all museums participate.
Physical passes can be borrowed for 3 days at the Library, or digital passes that are good for one day, which can be reserved and printed at home (or in the Library if you prefer). Click the LibCal link (https://gardencitypl.libcal.com/passes) to see the pass details and to reserve a pass.

The following Library Museum Pass rules remain in effect.
- Museum passes are available only to Garden City Public Library cardholders in good standing who have signed the Museum Pass User Agreement. Museum passes may be reserved in advance and must be checked out by an adult (18 years and older) family member.
- Reservations will be taken up to one month in advance of the desired date, subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations can be done in person at the Reference Desk, over the phone at 516-742-8405 x5236, or online via LibCal.
- Only one museum pass may be borrowed per person within a calendar month. Passes that are picked up at the Library may be borrowed for three days. The day the pass is checked out is day one, and the pass must be returned to the Adult Reference Desk no later than one hour before the Library closes on day 3, the day the pass is due.
- Late charges are $10.00 per day. In the event the pass is not returned on time, and the library pays an entrance fee for the next user, the entrance fee will be added to the late fees.
- Any user who loses a pass will be charged the replacement cost of that museum pass.
Each museum reserves the right to determine the rules and regulations governing the use of the museum pass, including certain features or events that may not be included in the museum pass admission.
