The Library parking is undergoing improvements. New lighting was installed as well as new lights added; it is now brighter and matches lighting on the front walkways and on 7th Street. Concrete work has begun on the walkway towards Hilton Avenue, and once complete, the walkway towards the parking lot will be started. Lastly, the parking lot will be milled and repaved.
In addition to available parking in the lot, temporary patron parking is also available on the south side of 7th Street from the Library to Cathedral Avenue, as well as in the Garden City RR Station parking lots during construction. Handicapped parking spaces are located close to the main entrance. Street parking on Hilton Avenue is reserved for Library employees.
The improvements should take a few weeks to complete. During most of this time, the parking lot will be partially accessible.
