Playaway Launchpads are pre-loaded learning tablets with high-quality, ad-free learning apps to provide themed, grade-leveled, subject-based learning. Each Launchpad comes with a 7” HD Touchscreen, an Android operating system, a protective case, and over 10 pre-loaded apps. The tablets are geared to a wide range of children of different ages, from preschool up through middle school. Subjects include language arts, math, science, and more.
The Launchpads are innovative, educational tools to provide interactive learning and literacy for the children of Garden City. With the increased use of computers and technology in everyday life, the Launchpads will offer children an opportunity to learn vital technology skills while having fun.
The Playaway Launchpads may be taken out only by Garden City adult cardholders. They circulate for seven days and are not holdable, but can be renewed once. There is a limit of one Launchpad per household that can be checked out at a time. Late fees are $2.00 per day up to $25.00, and the replacement fee is $99.00.
